Brainspotting
What is Brainspotting?
Brainspotting is a therapy that aims to find, process and free emotional stress, and trauma by combining body-based and brain-based approaches.
Where you look is connected to how you feel. Brainspotting proposes that eye position and deep emotional experiences are linked. Therefore, this modality reaches parts of the brain that traditional talk therapy or other types of therapy cannot.
What mental health issues can Brainspotting help with?
Brainspotting is a very effective modality to treat stress, anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, anger and emotional regulation, history of emotional, physical, or sexual abuse, addictions, unhealthy habits, low-self-esteem and many other emotional and mental health issues.
How is this possible?
Because Brainspotting activates our natural resources to liberate un-resolved sensorial experiences, allowing us to find new insights, regulation and equilibrium, thus improving our overall well-being and mental health.
How Brainspotting can help?
Brainspotting works with the origin of the trauma, it gets you unstuck, helps to uncover and explore issues and deal with the symptoms without the need for talking about them.

FAQs
-
During a Brainspotting session you will identify an issue/question with your therapist’s help.
While focusing on this issue/question you will notice how it makes you feel, a body sensation, pain, or an emotional release.
Based on your eye position, your therapist will help you to identify your “Brainspot” for the issue you are exploring.
Processing – A Brainspot is the entrance to an active brain network link to the issue/question you are exploring. Through this Brainspot activation you will be able to access deep regions of your verbal and cognitive consciousness, “accessing what is no longer necessary, allowing for increased understanding and healing”.
