Approach to therapy

As your therapist I will be beside you every step of the way.  Together we will process and develop the reality that will help you improve your mental health and achieve the better life you want. I’m here to listen, with no preconceived notions or judgement.

I specialize in brain-based therapies, such as Brainspotting; these specific modalities of treatment focus on the neurobiological variables (neuro networks) of each person to create change, specifically – neuro experiential change. Because understanding the why of behavior is not enough, for new behavior to be created new neural pathways need to be formed.

FAQ Therapy Services

Therapy is an individual process and unique to each person. Some people decide to stay in therapy until they feel that the mental space, they are in improves. Some may only need short-term support while others may benefit from therapy over an extended period.

Therapy sessions run anywhere from 45-55 minutes.

In-person sessions will be conducted in an office, the address will be communicated while scheduling an in-person session

Online sessions will be conducted through Zoom HIPAA-compliant platform or through Simple Practice Telehealth which is also HIPAA compliant.

I require 24-hours advance notice of cancellation or rescheduling through either a call or email. If I do not receive 24-hours advance notice, I will charge the full fee for the no-show/late cancelled session.

I do not offer return to work fitness for duty evaluations, parental custody evaluations, court-mandated treatment, emotional support animal evaluations, weapons purchase clearance evaluations or other similar administrative evaluations.
